ECENOVA is an innovation ecosystem designed to foster the development of Energy Communities that enable the collective, sustainable, and democratic production, sharing, and management of renewable energy. The project brings together businesses, government agencies, and local organizations with the aim of facilitating the energy transition and promoting fairer and more efficient energy models.
Driven by a consortium of organizations including Getafe Iniciativas, ECENOVA works on the application of advanced technologies, the creation of new collaborative models, and the organization of activities that promote knowledge and the adoption of innovative energy solutions. Its mission is to overcome technical, economic, and regulatory barriers so that more individuals, SMEs, and institutions can actively participate in energy communities.
Thanks to this initiative, Getafe is moving towards a more sustainable and participatory energy model, reinforcing its commitment to innovation, competitiveness and the well-being of its citizens.
